The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries
promotes The Veterans Project, held at the University of Portsmouth
White Swan Building. What does it mean to serve your country? What are the challenges that servicemen and women face in their lives as soldiers? And what are the next steps in their lives after the military? On 9 November, military veterans from the greater Portsmouth area will share their thoughts in an unscripted and uncensored performance that aims to challenge preconceived notions of who serves, and why. An international performance-oral history initiative currently in its sixth year, The Veterans Project is a forum for military veterans to share their stories onstage in an unscripted – and uncensored – format. Join us for an evening that brings together veterans of the British Armed Forces who have been deployed around the world for an engaging conversation about community, and what it means to serve. Please join us for this important community event at 7pm on 9 November in the Studio 1 Theatre, White Swan Building, University of Portsmouth. Tickets can be reserved here.
