On Friday 9th March, Lee Shearman will be visiting the University of Portsmouth, to present: The Micro Library, in King Henry building, room 0.01, at 10am.
Lee Shearman is an arts educator, freelance illustrator and designer based in St. Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex.
Micro Library Books is an independent publishing platform specialising in the design and production of pocket-sized, limited edition books and packaging.
Lee established Micro Library Books in January 2012 with the design and production of a limited edition bookwork entitled ‘Engineerium Micro Library Box Set’. It was launched at Publish and Be Damned Book Fair at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London.
Starting a side project Micro Library Books was a small scale self publishing project, which allowed Lee to create book works using a single sheet of A4 paper.
Lee produces a range of miniature publications,packaging for independent music recordings and book works involving paper engineering, experimental sculpture and arts objects.
This lecture is free to attend, and open to staff, students and members of the public.
