The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries is proud to host ‘Sanctuary and Safety’, an awareness raising session delivered by British Red Cross, sharing knowledge of the refugee experience.
‘Sanctuary and Safety’ takes place in Eldon Building, Room EW1.09 and is free of charge. Save the date, Friday 19th October at 1pm, and register your place here.
This event is one of several that celebrates the University of Portsmouth‘s partnership with Journeys Festival International. Shamila Dhana from British Red Cross will lead the session to inform participants about the current global refugee and asylum seeker situation and Portsmouth’s role within this.
All students, staff and members of the public are welcome to attend.
About Journeys Festival:
Journeys Festival International will return to the City of Portsmouth 19 – 28 October, for a third year. The Festival will host free artistic events, within leading venues and in the public spaces of Portsmouth City as the Festival aims to share the refugee experience through great art with as many people from different backgrounds as possible.
