An Inaugural lecture by Professor Joan Farrer

On Wednesday 11th May, Professor Joan Farrer, Associate Dean of Enterprise and Innovation, will perform her Inaugural lecture titled “…necessity is the mother of invention…from the Republic, Book 2, 369C,…”.

Joan will present her design practice, which illustrates Design Thinking and Transdisciplinary working, where co-creation between disciplines and the user has been a necessary method to achieve Innovation.

The lecture will take place promptly at 6pm in the University of Portsmouth’s Portland Building. Refreshments and nibbles will be served after the lecture from 7pm, we hope you’d like to join us in celebrating Joan’s achievements in a night full of exciting surprises.
