A Celebration of Political Satire

13 April 2015 - 17 April 2015

Do you want “useful access” to top satirical writers – and all very much “under the radar”? If so, you will want to be at This Is the Week That Isa series of talks, film and television screenings at the University of Portsmouth from April 13 to 17.

Normally such a golden opportunity could be offered for “somewhere in the region” of £5000 per day, hinted organiser Olly Gruner from the school of Art and Design. But there’s no sting here; you can come to most events for free. Among prominent figures attending will be Alistair Beaton, Kevin Brownlow, Steve Nallon and Laurence Marks, as well as our own film and illustration experts Lincoln Geraghty, Louis Netter and Van Norris. They will discuss the role and significance of political satire.
