A four-session creative writing course between 22nd February – 14th March to help committed writers get going by setting realistic aims, exploding myths and discussing their ideas and problems.
The University of Portsmouth, Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries are proud to share the news that Professor Steffen Lehmann has been appointed as Distinguished Visiting Professor’ at Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU) in Xi’an, China.
On Monday 5th June 2017, Toby Meredith, Media Production Centre Manager within the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries, attended a BAFTA ran workshop in Sustainability in Film and Television Education. The workshop was attended by several members of higher education institutions, the NUS and Learning on Screen.
Croshare is a part crochet workshop, part participatory art project organised by the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries Research Associate Tom West, and Artist Sharon Bennett taking place at Aspex Gallery on Saturday 11th June as part of the nationwide programme of Antiuniversity Now 2016 events.

This writing workshop, delivered by Tessa Ditner, will focus on how to write Erotic Fiction. Tessa Ditner is Portsmouth’s Literature Worker, affiliated to New Writing South and Portsmouth City Council, with close links to the University’s Creative Writing Department. On Wednesday 2nd March 2016 in Eldon’s Fashion Studio, Innovolvement held the Fashion Hack, which encouraged people to re-purpose waste materials while incorporating an element of technology.
