A group of UK and Chinese students have been finding out if fashion-factions can cross continents by looking at how clothing expresses who you are and which ‘tribe’ you belong to, after an exciting fashion exchange between the University of Portsmouth’s Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries and Wuhan Textiles University in China.
This year, the University of Portsmouth’s Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries is exhibiting at Graduate Fashion Week, the world’s largest showcase of BA fashion talent. University of Portsmouth students get free tickets to the event, which runs from Sunday 4th June – Weds 7th June in The Truman Brewery, Shoreditch, London.
Four 2016 graduates from University of Portsmouth BA (Hons) Fashion and Textile Design course showcased their collections to press and Industry as part of the RAW EDGE LONDON fashion event at the height of London Fashion Week at Wella World Studios at Trafalgar Square London.
The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries are delighted to invite you to join their annual celebration of the talents of our final year students at the Graduate Show 2015, on Friday 29th May, 5-9pm, at the University of Portsmouth, Eldon Building, Winston Churchill Avenue, Portsmouth, PO1 2DJ. The show continues Monday 1st June-Friday 5th June, 10am – 4pm.
University of Portsmouth’s final year student Georgia Hamilton who is studying BA (Hons) Interior Architecture and Design is undertaking a collaborative project with fellow second year student, Hannah Mitchell, who is currently studying BA (Hons) Fashion and Textiles.
This exhibition, being held at the University of Portsmouth, seeks to explore the human experience in a world of data. Building on the field of data visualisation and embodiment, we are moving into multisensory and physical ways of making sense of digital information.
