University of Portsmouth and Portsmouth Film Society announced their collaboration for the 9th Black History Month’s Film Festival to be held in Eldon Building throughout the month of October 2019.
Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries students at the University of Portsmouth have been invited to take part in this years Making Waves International Film Festival, which supports and exhibits pioneering work by the international talent and local independent film-makers.

A superior film watching experience that transcends with the musicals and outdoor settings – after seven years, Portsmouth Film Society is again presenting open-air screenings, featuring musicals, comedies, science fiction, adult films and family films. Among the highlights will a screening of A Clockwork Orange will be screen at Eldon Building’s Courtyard, University of Portsmouth. Three of this summer’s musicals (the original Willy Wonka, The Sound of Music, and West Side Story) will have live vocals added by students of The Fine Voice Academy.
LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) History Month takes place every year in February across the UK and around the world. It celebrates the lives, achievements and promotes awareness of the LGBT community.
