If you are University of Portsmouth alumni or students from the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries, you may be interested in the fact that Hornpipe Theatre Company is currently open to applicants for their grants.
This opportunity is targeted at local projects aiming to improve quality and sustainability of the arts in schools. The Guildhall Trust oversees the Small Grants for Schools Fund on behalf on Hornpipe Theatre Company. The company’s charitable affairs represent the common ground that facilitated its collaboration with the trust, namely their aim to inspire and change lives through art within the city, as they have been doing since 1982.
The next round of funding is open now until 25th November 2019, encouraging art projects in the local area to apply. In previous years, individual artists, organisations and schools have benefited from grants ranging between £250 and £1000, put to use towards creations that supported engagement and learning through various activities inside and outside of classrooms. For instance, one could receive funds if they intend to develop young people’s academic achievements or cultural knowledge with increased access to arts.
If you believe this funding scheme is suitable for you and your project, make sure to check the full eligibility criteria and conditions on the Application page. The grant can cover a range of costs including production, equipment, materials, transport or training.
