See Bin Sea Change
The University is hosting a special event to raise awareness of marine plastic pollution and solutions to tackle the problems on Friday 30 November at the Lord Mayors Council Chambers in Portsmouth Guildhall.
The event will raise awareness of the ongoing plastic pollution issue.
See Bin, Sea Change is a free event, open to the public, to raise awareness of the ongoing plastic pollution issue and bring people together to generate discussions on environmental pollution. This is the third See Bin, Sea Change following a first successful event back in December 2017.
Researchers from the Universities of Portsmouth and Southampton will talk about their research into marine plastic pollution and the impacts on us as individuals, as well as potential solutions.
There will also be further talks from scientists, industry and individuals living plastic free, as well as a plastic free Christmas Market which is hosted in the council chamber ball room.
The event runs from 4pm:
4 to 9pm – Plastic free Christmas Market is open.
5.30pm to 8.30 pm – Talks from researchers and individuals living plastic free.
Please book tickets to ensure you have a seat at the Lord Mayors Council Chambers for the event talks, you don’t need a ticket to visit the Plastic Free Christmas Market.
