The University of Portsmouth is awarding up to 170 awards of £10,000 each to help graduates progress onto post-graduate courses.
The awards, which are supported by the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE), are only available to current students graduating this summer, who are paying the higher fees implemented in 2012.
The University of Portsmouth Postgraduate Support Scheme (PSS) provides an excellent opportunity for our current final year undergraduates to gain a Master’s qualification supported by a generous financial package contributing to the cost of their studies. Each non-repayable award will cover tuition fees, with the remainder paid termly to students as a bursary towards living costs
This is a one-off scheme, and provides students with a unique opportunity to benefit from financial support in reaching a post-graduate programme.
To be considered for the Postgraduate Support Scheme (PSS) you must be:
- A final year student completing a three-year degree in 2015, for which you were charged the higher tuition fee (introduced to English universities for 2012 entry).
- Domiciled in the UK or EU for fee purposes.
- Have an assessed household income of below £42,620 (below £25,000 for EU students).
- Intending to study a one-year, full-time postgraduate course starting in September 2015.
