Portsmouth Festivities celebrates arts, culture and heritage in the City of Portsmouth.
Every June, the Festivities team creates a 10-day programme with something exciting for everyone. That means all kinds of theatre, music and visual arts. It means exploring past, present and future. What’s more, it means creating opportunities to get involved, with activities for the whole family.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two roles within the Festivities team:
General Manager (permanent)
The successful applicant will take a leading role in events planning and managing all aspects of the citywide festival; including line management of the Festivities Assistant and Audience Development Coordinator (fixed term), and active collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
This is a full-time permanent post (40 hours a week). Salary around £25k per annum depending on experience.
Closing date is 12 noon 04 December 2014. Interviews will be held the week commencing 08 December 2014.
Audience Development Coordinator (fixed term)
The successful applicant will work to support the work of Portsmouth Festivities by carrying out a range of marketing tasks as directed by the General Manager, to ensure the efficient running of the Portsmouth Festivities 2015.
This is a fixed term post (30 hours a week, Monday 9 February to Monday 29 June 2015; start date negotiable according to the successful applicant’s current work circumstances). Salary £19k pro rata (based on a 37.5 hour week).
Closing date is 12 noon 19 December 2014. Interviews will take place 06 January 2015 at Portsmouth Grammar School, Old Portsmouth.
