The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries at the University of Portsmouth shares news of TRICORN:01, an exhibition presented by Foursandeights featuring the work of CCI Graphic Design alumni Darren Page and Marie Cleaver, who also teach on the BA (Hons) Graphic Design course.
The exhibition is hosted by the Coastguard Studio on Thursday 13th December 2018, 1700 – 2300 and will showcase photographs unearthed from 2001-2003 (after the tricorn was closed). The original photographs are very small thumbnails, around 30kb in size, which have been put through creative processes in order to enlarge them for exploration and exhibition.
Foursandeights would like to use this event as an opportunity to bring together more creatives, who have a love for the Tricorn, to celebrate one of Portsmouth’s most iconic buildings 15 years after it was demolished.
If you are a creative or spent time knocking about the Tricorn and Charlotte Street with a camera, sketchbook, notebook or have video footage, and want to share some long lost memories and musings from the Tricorn, plus be part of a bigger project planned for Summer 2019, then do get in touch with Foursandeights, who can be contacted at the exhibition or via their Facebook page.
Come along to chat with other like-minded Tricorn lovers and discuss collaboration opportunities for the grander event in the Summer of 2019.
