Portsmouth Film Society concludes its sixth Black History Month Festival with Pressure, screening on October 19th.
Pressure (1976) finishes Portsmouth Film Society’s Black History Month Festival.
Directed by Horace Ove, this film gives an engaging insight into seventies Britain and the precursor to Black British filmmaking in the following decade. The issues and power relationships the film breaches remain relevant in contemporary multi-cultural Britain.
Tickets can be purchased prior to the event on the website or at the Screening Room EW 1.10, Eldon Building.
