M.I.N.D.E.R (Men In Need Deserve Equal Recognition) is a company created by seven Drama and Performance students, they thrive to challenge the stigmas around OCD and depression through artistic expression.
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental health condition that can affect someone in many different ways. It is often looked past as not being serious or carrying the same grandeur as physical illness.
M.I.N.D.E.R notice that what contributes to this dismissal of a serious condition, is the use of ‘OCD’ as a throwaway term, despite the fact that many forms of OCD are detrimental to daily life.
M.I.N.D.E.R are working collaboratively with the local community and mental health organisations to create events, and pieces of theatre that break down the stigma.
The inspiring company will host a Charity Football Match Sunday March 11th, between 12.00pm and 2.00pm, at the Langstone Village Football Fields.
The team will lead a fun, friendly football game, that costs just £2 to play!
The day will be full of fun and laughs, and all profits will go towards raising awareness for men’s mental health issues.
