The great Eastney clean up – 25th August 18

Local environmental group, ‘The Final Straw Solent‘ are taking action against plastic pollution that inevitably ends up in our oceans. The group try to minimise the amount of plastic entering our local seas and encourage local businesses to switch to paper straws or reusable fabric bags. An enormous beach clean is being organised to clean up Eastney, where our Institute


Architecture students assisted at The Sustainability Centre

On Wednesday 09 July 2014 two postgraduate students and five Brazilian ‘Science Without Borders’ undergraduate students working with staff from the University of Portsmouth School of Architecture Project Office spent a day with the senior management team at The Sustainability Centre near East Meon in Hampshire.


Alumna Sarah Kent’s illustration featured in Cosmopolitan

Alumna Sarah Kent graduated from BA(HONS) Illustration, University of Portsmouth in 2013. Since graduating, Sarah joined the fast and highly creative BDT Marketing: Graphic Design and illustration of Hampshire County Council as a graphic designer after a three month internship with the organisation. Already considering herself lucky, she also features on a double page spread in this month’s Cosmopolitan Magazine for being one of six finalists in their front cover design competition.
