The University Alliance are running their annual Christmas card design competition, open to students and staff.
Dr Beatriz López, coordinator of the Autism Research Network in the Department of Psychology would like to invite you to the launch of an art exhibition on 18th March. Work by two artists with Asperger syndrome, Jon Adams and Ross Knowles, will feature in the exhibition Artism.
A competition is being held to design the front cover for University Alliance’s 2012s Christmas card. The winner, as well as designing the new card, will receive a £50 Amazon gift voucher and will be credited on the back the card. Submission deadline: midday on Friday 23 November 2012. The card will be seen by hundreds of key figures, including
BA (Hons) Fashion and Textiles Design at the University of Portsmouth, proudly present The Circle: An exhibition inspired, designed and curated by staff, students and alumni from the Fashion and Textiles Design course.
Artist in Residence at the University of Portsmouth, Jon Adams, has started work on an exciting project which mixes science and art. In this new residency and research project based at Cambridge University, Jon sets out on a personal, artistic and scientific investigation of his own Asperger’s Syndrome, through a series of conversations with neuroscientists, his own observations and collaborative experiments.
In November and December our creative entrepreneurial alumni will be hosting our annual ‘For Sale’ Exhibition, celebrating our creative graduates artwork, including glass-work, photography, illustrations, greeting cards and more.
We have been asked by Kevin Williams MBE if one of our creative students wants to paint a small wall in his son’s bedroom in a graffiti style. You will be paid and travel will be arranged for you.
