The Music Department at the University of Portsmouth is a non-academic one, and so the students who participate in our ensembles do so purely because they want to! The Department offers a wide range of activities for students who are interested in music, regardless of which degree they are studying for. Our University of Portsmouth Choir welcomes all staff, students and townsfolk to sing together in regular rehearsals and concerts. The choir was formed in 1965 and now has somewhere near 100 members. It is a non-auditioned group that meets at 6pm on Wednesdays in Eldon W1.11 lecture theatre.
