The Careers and Employability Service Want Volunteers

The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries invites you to collaborate with the Careers and Employability Service who are based at the University of Portsmouth.  They are looking for a volunteer team who can help them run their events this year.

The Careers and Employability Service, situated opposite the Astoria nightclub, is dedicated to offering a wide range of employability-linked services.

Whether you are looking for a part-time job or graduate job, want help career planning, need to get some voluntary work experience or interested in starting up your own business, the specialist team are on hand offer information, opportunities, advice and guidance.

As part of this service the Volunteering Team run a bank of up to 210 different volunteering roles with local not-for-profit organisations. Last year almost 800 students undertook volunteering through the service to gain career enhancing work experience to build their skills, knowledge and confidence.

Volunteering is a fantastic, low commitment way to try out different types of work, grow a network of contacts and give back to the local community.

At the fair you can meet 45 different not-for-profit organisations attending to promote their roles, including Aspex Art Gallery, No.6 Cinema, Code Club and Groundlings Theatre.
