The University of Portsmouth, Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries are happy to share job opportunities for Aspex Art Gallery in Portsmouth. 

There are currently four part time, maternity roles, available at Aspex, Portsmouth’s leading contemporary art gallery, located in the prestigious Gunwharf Quays, supporting emerging artists and makers, for over 35 years.

Participation & Learning Manager, this role is for 21 hours per week, and the successful applicant will be responsible for the development and co-ordination of all aspects of the participation & learning programme on and offsite. They will work closely with the Director and programming team, to programme, fundraise and deliver projects, and contribute fully to ongoing audience development. Crafts & Retail Co-ordinator, this role is for 17 hours per week, and the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that Aspex achieves its income generating potential through the development of the craft programme and retail, including developing the gallery, and e-shop. There will be a particular focus on providing a warm welcome, and an environment that enhances the visitor experience. Hire & Building Co-ordinator, this role is for 17 hours per week, and the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that Aspex achieves its income generating potential through the development of premises hire, and efficient running of the building and facilities. There will be a particular focus on providing a warm welcome, and an environment that enhances the visitor, tenant & hirer experience. The deadline for applications is the 31st January, and you can find the application pack here.

Outreach Co-ordinator, this role is for 21 hours per week, and the successful applicant will be responsible for the development and co-ordination of all aspects of the Outreach programme, focused on working offsite using Aspex’s Mobile Learning Studio.
