Journeys Festival International (JFI) is a multi-art form festival that celebrates the creative talents of refugee and asylum seeker artists, delivered by ArtReach, from the 19th till the 29th of October.
Working across a wide range of creative media and disciplines, Journeys Festival International aims to bring the exceptional talent of local, national and international refugee artists into the public eye.
JFI combines live music, workshops, theatre, performance, discussion, exhibitions, and pop-up events to create a vibrant and engaging programme of events.
In addition to the core team that produces and stage manages the Festival, JFI are seeking a team of enthusiastic volunteers to; help share information at the visual arts projects and workshops, support artists, and to help audiences complete evaluation questionnaires, that will enable JFI to effectively assess the impact of their work. Being a participant in this fantastic opportunity will undoubtedly be a rewarding and enjoyable experience!
Volunteers (aged 18+) are needed from Thursday the 19th until Sunday the 29th of October, and shifts can be arranged around your availability. Volunteers will have a full briefing on Tuesday the 17th of October at Portsmouth Guildhall cafe, between 3 and 4pm.
Volunteers will be able to claim expenses for their time, £5 for under 4 hours and £10 for anything over.

Deadline for expression of interest is Monday the 9th of October at 10am, you will be contacted by 6pm the same day if your application has been successful, and from this point you will be able to make arrangements for your participation in the festival.
