The Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries (CCI) are seeking a committed Promotions Assistant to help with all aspects of the preparation, promotion and installation of the Faculty’s events and exhibitions programme situated on site in the new Eldon Building and off-site at the Guildhall in Portsmouth.
Being a member of the promotions team, you will be delivering high quality projects open to the public such as events, exhibitions, screenings, live performances and the annual faculty Graduate Show. You will gain valuable insight whilst assisting on projects working directly with creative industries professionals.
This full time position would suit a creative student who has excellent English language copy-writing and reporting skills for populating the faculty CCI blog ‘Creative Space‘, whilst having enthusiasm for organising events, student shows/performances or exhibitions or other relevant experience.
You will develop event project management skills and become confident using social media to communicate with a wide range of audiences.
You will become excellent in administrative and communication skills, written and interpersonal, with the ability to deal courteously with a wide range of people from different backgrounds at varying levels from inside and outside the university.
You should be registered on an undergraduate degree course in one of the schools within the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries. You must be a 2nd year student in the current academic year 2015/16 to apply. Unfortunately this position is not open to graduates.

Salary range: £16,357 – £18,212 per annum.
